Als erste Klinik in Bayern erhält die Klinik für Nephrologie und Angiologie der Klinikum Bayreuth GmbH, unter der Leitung von Prof. Dr. Harald Rupprecht, die Zertifizierung als Nephrologische Schwerpunktklinik.

Nach erfolgreicher Prüfung durch das unabhängige Zertifizierungsinstitut ClarCert wurde der Medizinischen Klinik V für Nephrologie und Angiologie am Klinikum Bayreuth das Zertifikat "Nephrologische Schwerpunktklinik" durch die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nephrologie (DGfN) überreicht. Dieses Qualitätssiegel bescheinigt der Klinik eine hervorragende Versorgungsqualität von nierenkranken Patienten in allen Phasen einer Erkrankung.

Die unabhängigen Fachexperten überprüften die Klinik auf Grundlage der Anforderungen der DGfN. Dabei legten die Prüfer besonderen Wert auf die Struktur- und Prozessqualität, die letztendlich den Patienten eine hohe Versorgungsqualität zusichert. In der Bayreuther Klinik wird die hohe Versorgungsqualität vor allem durch das spezialisierte Team aus Fachärzten und Fachpflegekräften für Nephrologie gewährleistet, die rund um die Uhr für die Patienten da sind. Regelmäßige Fort- und Weiterbildungen, zu denen auch Ärzte und Fachpersonal aus Praxen und anderen Krankenhäusern eingeladen werden, mehren das Wissen und die Erfahrungen des Behandlungsteams. Von diesem Wissen profitieren jedes Jahr rund 1.300 stationäre Patienten, die unter hohem Blutdruck oder Nierenerkrankungen leiden. Den Patienten werden am Klinikum alle modernen Diagnostik- und Behandlungsverfahren, wie Nierenersatztherapien, Plasmaseparationsbehandlungen oder Nierennervenverödungen bei Bluthochdruck, angeboten. Lobend wurde die medizintechnische Ausstattung, die über den Anforderungen der DGfN liegt, bei der Prüfung hervorgehoben. Ebenso wurde die Vernetzung mit anderen Fachbereichen sowie dem ambulanten Bereich bewertet. So bekommen Dialysepatienten, die einen sogenannten Shunt - eine Verbindung von Blutgefäßen - benötigen, eine optimale Versorgung durch die enge Zusammenarbeit mit der Klinik für Gefäßchirurgie und dem Institut für Radiologie am Klinikum. Im ambulanten Bereich besteht eine enge Kooperation mit dem KfH Kuratorium für Dialyse und Nierentransplantation e.V. in Bayreuth. Insgesamt werden so fast 5.000 stationäre und 21.200 ambulante Dialysen jedes Jahr durchgeführt.

Die Ersten in Bayern, die Vierten in Deutschland

Die Klinik für Nephrologie und Angiologie der Klinikum Bayreuth GmbH ist die erste in Bayern und vierte Klinik in Deutschland die die hohen Anforderungen erfüllt hat und jetzt das Zertifikat "Nephrologische Schwerpunktklinik" von der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Nephrologie (DGfN) überreicht bekommen hat. Die DGfN ist die größte und damit wichtigste Interessensvertretung von Nephrologen im deutschsprachigen Raum. Das Zertifizierungsinstitut ClarCert überwacht die Einhaltung der Anforderungen in einem Drei-Jahres-Rhythmus.
